Finishing Up The Collection Pages

I’ve been skipping around the eras, trying to add pictures to all the remaining collection pages. You’ll notice some pages from the Hard Candy, MDNA, Celebration and Rebel Heart eras are now completed, as well as most of the Miscellaneous pages. When I first started this site, I thought I would never finish, but now I can see a finish-line on the horizon! I’m so glad I did this because now I can have my whole collection documented and organized online. I also hope that people enjoy looking at what I have, I know I like to see other fans’ collections. If you have your own collection site, let me know and I’ll check it out.

Rebel Heart Indian Edition

Picture 2
I finally received my Indian edition of Rebel Heart today with the outer slip cover. It took long enough, I feel like I’ve been waiting for this one forever!  Well, anyway, it’s here and it’s joining my Rebel Heart collection. I absolutely love that this pressing comes with an outer slip cover which makes it completely unique to any other edition. It makes it extra special when a pressing has something extra or really different from the rest of the worldwide releases. If you don’t have this one yet, make sure to get it! They’re still on ebay and they are super cheap at $10.99!

Confessions On A Dance Floor Era

Picture 5 16-23-15
Pictures for the Confessions On A Dance Floor era are now up. Phew, this has been a lot of work taking all these pictures and adding all the information to the pages, but I’m getting closer to the end! Anyway, Confessions was a pretty good era for collectors. There were lots of really cool promo pressings. I also loved that they went back to keeping a uniform design theme for all four of the singles that matched the album artwork. Continue reading

American Life Era

Picture 2
The American Life album page and its singles pages are now updated with pictures. I have to admit, this is not one of my favorite eras to collect. The album itself is not among my top-rated Madonna albums (though I do really like a few songs like “Intervention”, “Nobody Knows Me”, “Love Profusion” and “Hollywood”, I find the album as a whole to be one of Madonna’s weaker efforts). Continue reading

GHV2 Era / Drowned World Tour DVD

Picture 6
The GHV2 sections are now complete with pictures for all the releases. This was a great era for collectors as so many great promotional items were released. The great thing about GHV2 was that the artwork and design was absolutely fantastic throughout the album campaign, while on the other hand the track list for the actual compilation really sucked as it offered nothing new and several important ’90’s hits were omitted. All the great collectibles released for the album really made up for it, though! Continue reading

“Ghosttown” 2-Track Single Is Apparently Coming

Some Madonna sites are reporting that we are definitely getting a 2-track CD single for “Ghosttown”. Hell yes! I hoped for one for “Living For Love” and we ended up getting two, a 2-track and a 4-track maxi. That was a damn miracle. All I ask is that they use “Queen” as track 2 on “Ghosttown”. Come on. The song is finished. It’s just sitting there, unused! Remixes are great but we haven’t had an exclusive CD b-side since “History” which was on the “Jump” single back in 2006. 😡

Music Era

Picture 6
Pictures are now added to the Music album page and its singles pages. This was a fun era to collect. I clearly remember the day that I bought the CD album. I bought the 2-track CD single of “Music” the same day as well. I couldn’t wait to get home to play them! I wondered what the B-Side “Cyberraga” would sound like with such a strange title. I also remember thinking that the cover of the single should have been the cover of the album instead as it seemed a more iconic shot of Madonna with her face half obscured by her pink cowgirl hat. Misprints, Different Remix Names & Rebel Heart Credits

Misprints really bother me. Any kind. Misprinted track lists on sleeves, mis-pressed discs…I don’t like any of it. I know some fans like it and collect different misprinted items, but it drives crazy. I also don’t like when the same remix has different titles on various releases, for example the “Human Nature” UK singles. ‘Chorus Door Slam With Nine Sample’?? It’s the ‘Howie Tee Clean Remix’! I guess that’s the OCD in me. I like things to be nice and uniform across everything! Even worse is when a disc is pressed with the incorrect tracks. Such is the case with the recent “Living For Love” USA 9-track promo CD, which I received last month. Continue reading

Ray Of Light Era

Picture 9
The Ray of Light album page and its singles pages are now complete with pictures added. I think that this era is very special for most fans and collectors. For me, this was the first time that I started collecting imports. It was so much fun to discover single releases from around the world that had different track lists and disc designs. The imagery and design during this time in particular was truly beautiful, and all of the singles chose from the album were absolutely perfect. There was just a real magic in the air with this album. Continue reading

Evita Era

Picture 3
I have now finished adding pictures for the Evita album and its singles pages. I have to say, I’m not a big fan of Madonna’s movies unless they are connected to her music  (for example, Truth Or Dare). However, I will say that out of all her other movies that I have seen, Evita is definitely the best! The soundtrack was a major departure from Madonna’s own style of music but I definitely do enjoy it. Collecting-wise, this isn’t one of my favorite eras to explore, but I’m glad it’s part of Madonna’s legacy.
