Record Store Day 2019
So it looks like this year’s Record Store Day Madonna releases are finally confirmed as being the previously rumored True Blue and La Isla Bonita Japanese vinyl EP reissues. I’m fine with this, especially because they will be pressed on colored vinyl. I’m a little disappointed that they didn’t do something for Like A Prayer’s 30th Anniversary this year. I would have loved a replica of the Japanese vinyl on light blue, lavender or gold colored vinyl. Maybe later in the year they will do something (fat chance). Anyway, I’m looking forward to Record Store Day, and I’m glad they’re continuing with 2 Madonna releases this year instead of just one, which makes the early morning trip to the record store more worthwhile.
New Album
I’m casually following along the information that is leaking about the album. There seems to be a lot of negativity towards the artists she is collaborating with this time around. Usually, I’ll have an option about it as well, but this time I’ve decided to just let her do what she will and not question it. I’m also considering avoiding audio leaks this time around and just listening to the album when it’s officially released. I honestly can’t remember the last time I did that. Maybe with American Life? or Music? Anyway, we’ll see if I can hold out. The tour is also rumored to be starting in September so that’s exciting as well.
