Rebel Heart Tour Talk: Songs Madonna Should Avoid

I’m the kind of person that usually looks at all of the tour spoilers. A few supposed set lists are making the rounds but I’m not sure that I believe them 100% yet. I thought I would talk about some songs that Madonna should include on her tour…but then I thought it would be more fun to talk about songs that she shouldn’t perform! 😛 So here’s my list of 10 Songs That Madonna Should Not Include On The Rebel Heart Tour!

1990’s Australian Card Sleeve CD’s

I love Australian card sleeve CD single releases from the 1990’s because they were always unique (at least from the Erotica era through the Ray Of Light era). The track lists usually mirrored either the European or American releases, but not always. For example the “Human Nature” 3-track CD had a unique track list exclusive to the Australian release. What made them special though, was that the disc design was usually different or they had some other little interesting quirk (remember the “Drowned World” CD’s that listed the “Sky Fits Heaven” versions as the ‘Drug Fits Face’ remixes?) Not all Australian CD singles from the 90’s came in card sleeves, but a lot of them did and I’ve been obsessing over them for the last year or so.

Ranking The Album Tracks Part 6: Erotica (1992)

After pushing boundaries in pop music further and further for just about a decade, Madonna finally bulldozed through society’s sexual fears and repressions with the release of Erotica. The imagery was gritty and dark; The music was more sophisticated and less commercial. The Erotica era was full of controversy and negativity towards our heroine, but if you could get through this era with her, you could get through anything. Madonna may have lost a lot of her casual fans during this time, but this is also where her relationship with a lot of her hardcore fans was firmly cemented. I myself have always been mesmerized by this era. I remember patiently watching MTV for hours, praying that they would show some of the Erotica videos. In a nutshell, this is my favorite Madonna album of all time. Let’s get to the rankings:

“Bitch I’m Madonna” USA Promo CD-R

Well here it is: The USA promo CD of “Bitch I’m Madonna” featuring 10 remixes, which was just delivered to me. Unfortunately, it turns out that it is a CD-R again instead of a factory-pressed disc, but hey, I’ll take it! 🙂 Glad to have the remixes on a CD.

“Bitch I’m Madonna” 2-Track CD Single…Is It Happening??

So, what’s going on with “Bitch I’m Madonna”? I feel like there should have been a pre-order listing somewhere for a 2-Track CD by now if it was going to happen. The video is out, the remixes are out and the song probably won’t get much more radio play than the first two singles did so I’m starting to think that we won’t get a German CD single like we did for “Living For Love” and “Ghosttown”. Despite my lack of love for the “Bitch I’m Madonna” cover picture, I find this very disappointing. On the plus side, I’ve gotten word that the USA promo CD will be a factory-pressed disc and is expected to be given out at club release parties, so at least we’ll have something physical to add to our collections! I’m expecting to receive a copy soon so I will post pictures of it when I receive it.
