The highlight of my collecting in January was the promo 7″ white vinyl of “Like A Virgin” from Canada, which is pretty rare these days. There is also a white 12″ counterpart that is rare as well. Anyway, this 7″ is quite a beauty as its one of the few official colored 7″s in Madonna’s discography. Elsewhere, as you know, Madonna is still currently on her Madame X tour. She received glowing reviews in London, but it’s just too bad that she has to cancel shows in between and alter the setlist on other nights due to her injury. I consider myself very lucky that I had the opportunity to experience the full show nine times. I know a lot of fans whose shows were affected are very upset at the moment, which is unfortunate because the cancelations and negative reactions are tainting an otherwise wonderful era. I hope a video release is put together and released sooner than later so we can all view the show in its full glory.
I also wanted to mention that I got a copy of the Madame X VIP book and it is absolutely wonderful. I don’t add my tour books to this site because I wanted to keep it all about Madonna’s music discography, but I may add them back in at some point. Anyway, both the standard Madame X tour book and this special VIP book are so gorgeously designed and are must-haves.
