Happy New Year! Well, now that the Madame X era has cooled off for me, I’ve been back on ebay stalking the auctions. I’ve started kind of obsessing over 7″ vinyl singles lately. I’d really like to fill in all the holes in my collection that I can from some of the main territories of Madonna’s releases (UK, Germany, Australia, USA, France, Japan, Portugal, Italy, Spain). Of course this takes lots of time and patience. I brought in several this month, finally acquiring a copy of the “Like A Prayer” Japanese 7″ (a white label promo version). Also got a copy of the Japanese “Live To Tell” promo 7″, which is pressed on black vinyl as opposed to the more common commercial white vinyl version. I also brought in some cool Portuguese 7″ pressings, and some others from the USA, which were less exciting because they were some of the ones that were issued without picture sleeves, but I still gotta have them.
