Record Store Day 2017: ‘Dance Mix’ 12″ Vinyl EP

Well, I got the tip off from someone yesterday, and now it’s official: we are getting a Madonna release again this year for Record Store Day in April! This time, it’s a replica of a rare 1985 Argentina vinyl EP called Dance Mix. Here’s the tracklist:

Side A: 1. Into The Groove (4.40) 2. Angel (Extended Dance Mix) (6.15)
Side B: 1. Chica Material (Material Girl) (Jellybean Dance Remix) (6:05) 2. Vacación (Holiday) (6:08)

It’s an interesting choice. Personally, I would have preferred some colored vinyl again, but at least we are getting something. I actually don’t have an original Argentinian copy of this release so at least it’s something semi-new for me. It’s rumored to be limited to 8,000 copies but I never believe these numbers. Last year’s Record Store Day release, the Like A Virgin & Other Big Hits pink vinyl, is still easy to get. Let’s just say I won’t be in line at 5am this time!

I’ve taken a semi-collecting break for the last few months, only bringing in a few items here and there. Here are the items I added to my collection in January and February:

The highlight here was obviously the UK “Who’s That Girl” 12″ picture disc, which is one of the more scare picture discs from the 80’s. I’ve been wanting this one for years and was finally able to get a copy. I love the front picture!

The Immaculate Collection colored vinyl re-issue was pretty great as well as I mentioned in a previous post. I hope we get some more colored vinyl for Record Store Day coming up in April. I’ve started regularly checking ebay again so I guess you can say I’ve got the collecting itch again! I’ve already got a few items in for the month of March!
