Well, Madonna finally made it to my city of Los Angeles on Tuesday night. It seemed like forever that I had been waiting for this show! Judging from Madonna’s reaction, the crowd seemed overall better than the Arizona crowd was, but there were still some snobby, sour-faced buzz-kills seated in my area. I was 7th row from the main stage, close to the runway. I have to say that this area is great for the main stage action, but once Madonna heads out to the heart stage, you really can’t see much of her. She spends a lot of time at the heart during the middle of the show too. I much preferred my view in Arizona. Anyway, Madonna gave another great performance. It seems like she’s getting more and more talkative with each show. She even cracked a funny joke about the “3 Rings of Marriage”: the engagement ring, the wedding ring, and the suffering. That was pretty clever. As far as performances go, I have decided that the entire Latin section has grown to be my overall favorite (though my favorite singular moment is still “Deeper And Deeper”, which I can’t get enough of). I appreciate “Living For Love” and “La Isla Bonita” more with each viewing, and the “Dress You Up” medley is pure bliss. I finally got to hear her perform “Secret”, which was nice. However, as much as I love “Secret” I think it’s a bit too tame and not as iconic of a song for the crowd. “Like A Prayer” was the surprise song of the night and went over very well. She said it was a special song only for Los Angeles so we’ll see if she sings it again on this tour. No “Who’s That Girl”, unfortunately. She really needs to stop cutting out that song! As everyone already knows, Katy Perry was the “Unapologetic Bitch” of the night. I’m not really a fan so that wasn’t such a big deal for me. Overall, I have to say I had more fun in Arizona, but it was still a great show. I’m heading out to the San Diego show today, where I will be a few rows in front of the heart. I have a feeling this will be my best view yet!
