So! This was actually a fun month because I got in all 3 of the latest colored vinyl re-issues. As you all know, Erotica and Music were reissued in Europe in late October as White and Blue colored vinyl editions respectively. I know some collectors are complaining about all the colored editions of albums continuously being released, but I say bring them on! We spent so many years getting almost nothing for Madonna as far as reissues go so it’s nice to get these different editions. Of course, I had to get these imported from the UK because they weren’t released in the USA. Several USA online shops had them listed as pre-orders but they ended up not getting them in after all. Erotica looks beautiful on white vinyl, and the Music blue vinyl looks great as well! Unfortunately, the Erotica sleeve is the same as the 2012 European reissue so it’s not the best quality.

Elsewhere, the first-ever Madonna exclusive for the Black Friday edition of Record Store Day was also released in November. I showed up to Amoeba in Hollywood at around 7:30am. Luckily, the line was not as long as it is on a regular Record Store Day. I got my lovely clear Ray of Light double LP set and headed home. It’s so hard to believe that this album was released over 20 years ago. It looks great on all these colored editions (as you remember, it was released on blue vinyl in Europe last year).

Screen Shot 2018-12-03 at 7.34.53 PMTo top off my month, I finally got a copy of the “Broken” ICON fan club pink vinyl single from 2012. This record has been something of a sore spot for me since it was first released. I had been a member of ICON since the late 90’s. The ONE year I didn’t renew, they gave away this now-rare record as the yearly gift. I emailed them and asked them if they could make an allowance since I had been a member for many years and put up with their shit all that time (well, I didn’t mention that part haha). They said no. Well, I now have a copy. I had to pay for it, but it was surprisingly cheap! This record has been widely bootlegged so I was careful to make sure it was legit.

Well, that’s all for November. I usually don’t buy as much in the month of December, and this year will be the same. There are too many cases of lost and stolen packages due to the Christmas season so I might only get in a couple of things. But then again…

Happy Holidays!
